These vegan peanut butter energy balls are so addicting, rich, and also naturally sweetened. They are healthy, quick, gluten-free, and no-bake! 


  • 10 dates (pitted)
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder (plus more for coating)
  • 1/3 cup almond flour (sub for oat flour)
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (plus more for coating)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp water
  • pinch of salt


  1. Add the pitted dates into a food processor or blender. Blend until a paste is formed.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients into the food processor along with water and oil. Pulse it until you have a paste consistency.
  3. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, scoop out 1-tbsp amounts of the mixture to roll into balls between the palms of your hands. 
  4. Optional: Empty a small amount of cacao powder and a small amount of shredded coconut into 2 separate plates. Roll the energy balls around to coat with cacao powder and/or shredded coconut. 


To make them firmer, place them in the fridge or freezer for 30 minutes before serving.

Add chocolate chips for more chocolate flavor.

You can add a vanilla bean or vanilla extract for vanilla flavor.

Try adding dried fruit such as raisins, cranberries, or apricots as well.

Add ground flax seeds or chia seeds for a healthier option.
