This vegan chili cheese fries are easy, healthy, quick, and also gluten-free. In addition, it is not fried, loaded with plant-based toppings, and satisfying!
When I make my favorite chili for meal prepping, I also use it for this amazing dish. Since the chili is already prepped, all I have to do is bake or air fry potatoes and make the vegan cheese sauce. You can also use this cheese sauce for making mac and cheese!
Another thing I love about this recipe is, of course, the toppings. I usually use my all-time favorite sauce avocado crema to top it and also add jalapeno, green onions, and red onions.

Potatoes
As you may know, I'm obsessed with my air fryer but you can roast the potatoes in the oven as well. I used this roasted potatoes recipe instructions but I cut the potatoes bigger.
Vegan Cheese Sauce
We can't complete this delicious recipe without some creamy and smooth cheese! So, my vegan cheese sauce recipe is perfect for these fries!
Avocado Crema (optional)
Avocado crema is one of my favorite sauces but you omit if you like. You can also use some sliced avocados as a topping.
Toppings
Healthy toppings make this plant based meal delicious so use whatever you like. I like adding sliced jalapeno, red and green onions, cilantro, homemade parmesan and also squeeze some lime juice.
How to make Healthy Chili Cheese Fries step by step
- First, you will need to cook the chili according to the recipe.
- Also, bake or air fry the potatoes according to this recipe while the chili is cooking.
- In the meantime, make the dairy-free cheese sauce.
- And then place the potatoes on a plate, add the chili and then cheese on top. Don't forget to add all your toppings and dig in!

- 2 servings vegan cheese sauce
- 2 servings avocado crema (optional)

Instructions
- Cook the chili according to the recipe.
- While chili is cooking, bake, or air fry the potatoes according to this recipe.
- In the meantime, make the cheese sauce and avocado crema (optional).
- Place the potatoes on a plate, add the chili and cheese sauce on top. Optional: Top it with avocado crema and other toppings like homemade parmesan.
Notes
When cooking the potatoes, avoid overcrowding the pan for crispier fries.
Change up the toppings however you like.
